The paper “A human-centric analysis of life cycle assessments: development and validation of a subject-oriented model” by Lucas Greif, Svenja Hauck, Matthes Elstermann and Jivka Ovtcharova presents a subject-oriented reference model for life cycle assessments (LCA).
It aims to clarify individual roles within the LCA process and is visualized through diagrams that facilitate understanding for both experts and novices. The model not only meets current educational and practical needs, but also lays the foundations for a human-centered approach to LCA that can be implemented in the future.
