IMI presents research at VeRoLog 2025

Präsentation zu dynamischem Multi-AMR Buffer Management am KIT.IMI

In mid-July 2025, IMI presented current research results at the VeRoLog conference in Trento, Italy. A research team from IMI presented results from the FlexTools project, which is funded by the European Union (NextGenerationEU) and the German Ministry of Economics, at the leading conference for operations research and logistics.
The research presented, entitled “Dynamic Multi-AMR Buffer Reshuffling and Retrieval: An Integer Programming Approach”, deals with the optimization of buffer zones operated with multiple Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs). The mathematical model developed makes it possible to precisely model dynamic deliveries and the coordinated use of several robots in order to minimize their travel distances. The research thus lays an important foundation for the development of future, practical algorithms.
