The IMI is located on the 2nd floor, and on the ground floor, at Zirkel 2 (building 20.20).

From the main station (Bahnhofsvorplatz) by tram

The institute can be easily reached by public transport:
Line 2 direction Wolfahrtsweier via Z K M or
Line 3 in the direction of Rintheim via the main railway station

  • Every 3 minutes / journey time: approx. 7 - 8 minutes
  • Stop: Karlsruhe Kronenplatz/Kronenplatz
  • continue on Waldhornstraße in a northerly direction (right-hand side of the road) after approx. 400 m, entrance SCC (KIT Scientific Computing Centre) 
How to get to the IMI by car

Take the A5 to the Karlsruhe-Durlach exit, then continue towards the city centre on Durlacher Allee. Turn left towards Ostring and take the second exit at the roundabout towards Ludwig-Erhard-Allee. Then turn right onto Fritz-Erler-Straße and continue onto Waldhornstraße.

Parking facilities

Parking is available in the underground car park at Schlossplatz or in the multi-storey car park at Kronenplatz.
