ViEW-BW at the Colloquium Environmental Research 2021

The Colloquium Environmental Research took place on 06 July 2021 in an innovative, virtual format under the motto "Impulses for Environmental Policy".

The event focused on the environmental research and energy transition projects funded by the Ministry for the Environment, Climate and Energy Management Baden-Württemberg.

The ViEW-BW project was also presented on one of the virtual exhibition stands. For this purpose, numerous digital media were connected and the trade fair visitors were able to exchange information with the employees involved in the project.

ViEW-BW stands for "Visualization of the energy transition in Baden-Württemberg" and the central vision of the project is the interactive involvement of citizens in the transformation of the energy system. This is to be achieved by creating an intuitive understanding of the complex interrelationships in the energy system of the future.

Five institutions are involved in the project. Among them are the Institute for Automation and Applied Informatics (IAI), the Institute for Information Science and Marketing (IISM), and the Institute for Information Management in Engineering (IMI) at KIT, as well as the Institute for Ubiquitous Mobility Systems (IUMS) at Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences (HSKA) and the Research Center for Informatics.
