DAREED is framed within energy efficiency initiatives for Smart Cities of the Seventh EU Framework Programme. The European Commission supports projects focusing on 2020 low carbon economy objectives through integration and validation of new ICT technologies and services in neighborhoods.

 

This workshop focuses on promoting new solutions for Smart Cities, presenting case-studies as well as tutorials and involving actively the main stakeholders to co-create energy efficient districts and cities. Participation to the event is completely free of cost.

 

This call invites contributions in the field of the following topics:

  • ICT for design, monitoring and management of energy-efficient buildings and districts
  • Smart Energy Systems
  • Smart City Data Collection and Analysis
  • ICT Services in Smart Cities
  • Open Data Initiatives
  • Developing ICT based city initiatives

 

Who will find this workshop interesting

The workshop will gather international Smart cities leaders and researchers, along with experts from the industry. The goal is the coordination of Smart cities efforts and exchange experiences of today's R&D challenges in the Smart cities development.

 

How to contribute and participate

Smart cities leaders are invited to present their Smart city roadmap and the challenges to be faced by technologies.

Projects being developed under the mentioned topics are invited to hold a presentation of their work with the aim of identifying synergies and collaboration points among the participants of the workshop by sharing knowledge and experience.

Developers of innovative ICT technologies and advanced prototypes for Smart Cities are invited to present their solutions, letting the attendees participate actively in the use of their system, services and/or tools during one of the sessions of the workshop.
