Kinder-und-Jugend-Uni Bretten

On 7. February 2014 the final presentation of the cooperation project “Energy Transition, Visions 2050” took place in LESC.

The cooperation project was between university students of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology participating in the virtual reality practical course at IMI and the students form the “Kinder- und Jugend-Uni” in Bretten, Germany, a center for talented children between 8 and 14 years old.

During the practical course the students worked on the topic “Energy Experience” and developed a virtual and real environment for experiencing energy efficiency in office buildings. The students from the center in Bretten developed a storyboard for the project video and met the university students to discuss the topic of energy in the future.

During the final presentation there was a long discussion between three generation – children, students and parents about the future home, workplace and mobility with the focus on energy efficiency.
