On July 20, the student team of the Virtual Reality Internship SS12 successfully completed their contribution to the development of a driving simulator. The students of computer science, mechanical engineering and economics worked under guidance of the scientific staff Jurica Katicic and Polina Haefner on many complex tasks in order to connect an existing driving simulator to a real vehicle. In the Lifecycle Engineering Solutions Center (LESC) the car "Smart Fortwo" was connected as a input device. This car was a donation from the company "Daimler". The participants worked together in an interdisciplinary team.
