Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) – an interconnected information management for the whole product life cycle – provides the basis for process optimization by relocating result critical partial processes to the earliest possible phases of the innovation process (Frontloading). Frontloading and PLM are the focus of the area of research of Lifecycle Engineering (LE) with an emphasis on process aspects.
WG 1: Life Cycle Engineering

In the following fields of research we can develop individual solutions with you:
- Product Lifecycle Management
- S-BPM: Subject-oriented business process management
- Strategic Product Planning
- Virtual Product Development
- Systems Engineering
- Interactive Simulation
- Development and application of numerical methods in engineering
- Engineering applications of virtual reality: post-processing of simulation results
- Technology Management
In our LESC Living Labs individual solutions can be tested under real conditions.
